My last comment was cut off. The Sheriff had said the parameters of the schedule were from the union, I told him that 5 years ago Chief Carlson banged his fist on the table and said, "This is a notification not a negotiation. We are going to a 28/8 schedule and and will consider no other options. " I told him that he has ruled that schedule with an iron fist ever since. For the last 5 years, including negotiations just a few weeks ago they have refused to even discuss the contract.
